The “Korean Language and Literature” program supports academic excellence by offering students the chance to apply for scholarships and research opportunities. Each year, we provide two scholarships (1500 RON/month for 8 months) and two field trips to Korea (9000 RON for each trip) for 3rd year undergraduate students who choose to write their BA dissertation in Korean Studies, encouraging high-quality research in the field.
Additionally, we offer three undergraduate Research Assistant positions annually, providing financial support (1000 RON/month for 9 months) and hands-on experience. Research Assistants play a key role in organizing the Korean Library and assisting with cultural events, contributing to the program’s academic and cultural activities.
Scholarships are supported by project no. AKS–2023–INC–2250001, “Advancing Korean Studies Education and Research at Babeș-Bolyai University, Romania,” financed by the Academy of Korean Studies (Republic of Korea), from June 1, 2023, to May 31, 2028.
Similar opportunities were available to students through the previous project, no. AKS–2018–INC–2230003, “Training a New Generation of Korean Studies Scholars at Babeș-Bolyai University, Romania” (June 1, 2021 – November 30, 2021).
