Korean Language and Literature

Welcome to Babeș-Bolyai University, home to Romania’s only undergraduate program majoring in Korean Language and Literature. Established in 2008, the program caters to a growing interest in Korean culture fueled by the global phenomenon known as Hallyu.

Each year, a diverse array of students from across Romania, including remote regions and Bucharest, are drawn to our program. This popularity stems not only from our distinctive curriculum, but also from Babeș-Bolyai University’s strong reputation. Consistently ranked at the top nationally and among the leading Romanian universities internationally, our institution provides a high-quality academic environment.

Central to our program’s success are our dedicated faculty members, including native Korean lecturers, who guide students from beginner to advanced levels in both language and literature.
